HOSPITAL VISITATION

Caring Companions visit patients who are hospitalized for mental health struggles, offering friendship, encouragement, and positive engagement. Activities can include playing games, working on small creative projects, or simply spending time talking and listening. These visits are designed to help patients feel seen, valued, and supported. Each interaction, no matter how small, has the power to brighten someone’s day and reinforce that members of the Sioux Falls community care deeply about their well-being.

VOLUNTEER MISSION

The Reach-In Program is dedicated to providing support, encouragement, and companionship to individuals facing mental health challenges in our community. Through this volunteer program, Fight Like a Ninja aims to create meaningful connections that remind participants they are not alone. Volunteers, known as Caring Companions, bring hope, compassion, and a listening ear, helping patients navigate difficult times with dignity and care. By giving just an hour of your time each month, you can make a lasting difference in someone’s life while helping foster a more supportive, connected community.
